Video Equipment - Veho MUVI HD camcorder

Over the years I have used a few camcorders to record for posterity the events I have taken part in and also the things I do. I have purchased a Veho MUVI HD camcorder. But first some history as to why I've purchased the Veho MUVI HD.

Back in 2007, I had a JVC hard disc camcorder. Capable of recording up to 8hrs of footage, it suffered from auto-shutoff problems when mounted in the car due to vibrations that would effect the hard disc and then shutdown the camcorder.

In 2008, learning from the experiences I got a Canon MiniDv camcorder. This worked perfectly when mounted on the car and so I got some good footage of the driving in Europe and the descent of the Stelvio Pass in Italy. It was fit for purpose in 2008 even with changing tapes every 60 minutes, but today in the HD world we now live in, it falls below par.

So I now I come to the Veho MUVI HD.

I went for the special edition Gumball 3000 branded MUVI. Reason why is that it comes with a whole host of  mounting tools for use in a car or on the person. I also purchased the waterproof plastic casing for the MUVI HD.

I'm looking forward to seeing the footage that I am able to shoot with the Veho MUVI HD.

Swede builds a Lamborghini for ski slopes

Swedish professional skier Jon Olsson, has taken delivery of his new 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo.
It has been fitted out with a roof box capable of carrying his ski's as he travels from event to the next event. As from the pictures it has also been given a digital snow camouflage wrap. The sharp lines of the camo pattern suit the sharp lines of the Gallardo in my opinion. More pictures after the jump

Camo 206 on the move

Picture taken by eventreport.nl back in 2007 as we entered The Netherlands during the Modball Rally

A lil bit of history.....

How about I tell you how we got started.

Back in 2006, we found an event called The Modball Rally. We entered for the 2007 rally that would take us 3000 miles around Europe. We use our car, a 2005 Peugeot 206 GTi. For the event she was specially wrapped in camouflage to stand out against the other vehicles taking part as seen below. The Modball Rally 2007 took us to Amsterdam, Cologne, Prague, Vienna, Milan, Lyon and Geneva.

The SPARCO Team Funkycoconut Camo 206

After having a successful event where we experienced possibly the greatest road rally event for less than UK£1000, we immedidately signed up for the 2008 rally around Europe. Again, we used the camouflaged 206, now know as the Camo 206. This time, the rally took us on a anticlockwise tour of Europe taking in Geneva, Milan, the Stelvio Pass, Budapest and Prague.

And after a break to raise families, Team Funkycoconut is now back and ready to go for 2012 events.
